Transgenders are better known as Hijras or Kinnars in countries like India. Unfortunately unlike the developed world, life is not easy for such people in these parts of the world. Most of them do not work in professional lives but their livelihood depends on the charity and funds given by people during their happy times like birth of a child (specially male), marriage, new house and so forth.
Read more about these Kinnars and how their life goes on from birth till death where they are supposed to have very different sort of last rites and rituals. This post is in Hindi and is dedicated to the Kinnar Samaj.
We have been given a different body by nature, karma or God whatever you may call
That does not mean that we are not humans, neither does it signify our downfall
Given the right opportunities, we are no less than what you all can achieve
If only given a chance, we can do anything, no matter how wrongly you perceive
The very fact that we can survive in such harsh social conditions shows our strong will
In this competitive world, even we can just go for it, we can also make the kill
Whenever you despise us, think of us from the human perspective, not as non-humane
Trust me when I say so, we are equally keen to be a part of society, we are entirely sane
