We all want good times to prevail, and bad times should never come near

Yet there is a staunch truth, which I would like to tell you O my dear

When you have pocket full of money, then you have nothing to yearn

Yet even if you enjoy the most, its unlikely that much you will learn

While you are on the risk, in your sunshine everyone will bathe and bask

When the sun begins to slide, the very same people will have a different mask

You must have enjoyed sumptuous meals across various hotels all the time

Yet do you not realize the beauty of hunger pangs, when you dont have a dime

When everything is great and up, all is going fine, there are no heartbreaks

Yet with a broken heart you realize, that the world is different, the ground shakes

Yet you should consider such situations as life changer, that is the only time you realize

What the Saints say is the only truth, then you understand it deeply and be really wise

Once the lessons are over, Karma will hand you over to better times again

Then you will understand that the hard masters were for your own good

Only your own karmas will be there, once testing grounds you have stood

Go on with life, try to help everyone, but without a single desire

Imbibe the lessons learnt, let them become your guiding fire
